Patient research leader application

We’re excited that you’re interested in developing a new measure on the Open Research Exchange! You have the opportunity to become part of a small but growing group—patients as researchers—who will revolutionize healthcare by creating new measures that assess health and quality of life in ways that matter to patients.

We’d love to know a bit more about your research idea. Tell us more by answering just five questions below. We’ll review your responses and get back to you within two weeks with additional questions.

Please tell us who you are and how best to reach you:

Required fields are marked with an asterisk *

Is it about symptoms, or pain, or satisfaction with treatments, for example? It’s best to narrow down your idea to one short sentence, and to be very specific.

Think about why it’s important to you, how useful it would be, and to whom. Have you talked to other patients about their experience?

Who do you see ultimately using it, when, and how often?

Adults with a chronic condition or women with MS are two examples of populations you could survey.

Do a bit of research and check out the scientific literature so you can learn about the topic, develop your own opinion based on previous research, and build on work that has been already done.
